Right from the young age of 7, Mr. Adamson was able to self-teach complicated radio operation to himself. Causing the RCMP to investigate wiretapping by David, using a handheld walkie-talkie in 1968. Which he used to break the frequency used by the telephone company and interrupting private phone calls. Having visits by the spirit of his first dog Moose, later he passed away, Uncle Leo, and his Grandmother on the night of her passing. And learning how to build, control, and set off explosives, from a science kit, and numerous fire-works has given to him, by his father. The learning of which was brought on by, and spending time, and recovering from an automobile accident on and during his 8th birthday. David was struck by an out-of-town teacher driving at the recorded speed of 80 miles per hour driving from Burns Lake to Prince George BC, rounding a curve and finding David on his bicycle in front of her on the road. David suffered multiple broken bones, concussion, severe external hemorrhage, and his vitals stopped during life-saving techniques used by paramedics on scenes. During this accident scene, a man named Mr. Ryder came to David’s aid, he was 70+ and not prepared for the carnage before him. He suffered a fatal heart attack upon seeing the broken boy’s body lying bleeding on the highway, and died before ambulance crews could save him.
David Adamson was 17 when his newborn son was born. The baby was rushed to ICU immediately after birth due to complications that turned out to be terminal. Spending the next 15 hours with the child after his birth, became the turning point in David’s life that eventually led to his writing Hellish 38 years later. David was unable to have a funeral for his son as the mother would not allow a funeral. Personal addiction and suspected psychosis directed the mother’s decisions at the time.
David Adamson began his writing career at the age of 55, during his pain-full separation and eventual divorce from his wife of 30 + years. In the early stages of the separation, his son who passed when David was a youth, crossed over into the realm of the living to be with David once more. Providing him with the mental support and direction required to complete the first segment to The Hellish Series. The spirit reminded David of the story that was imparted to him in detail years ago at the child’s birth; through a mental connection with the infant before his death. Moreover, reminding David that he now had the life experience to complete such a task finally.
A nearly equal amount of his life working in a Plywood Plant, known as North Central Plywood’s, for 18 years, and driving a truck as a professional Driver for 20 years. During his employment at NCP; David organized professional chess matches, Chaired a non-profit for 10 years; called “ The Prince George Chess Association”. As well as, spearheading and winning the bid for The National Event, ”The National Junior Closed ” in the winter of 1994-1995. David also attended college, volunteered for St. John’s Ambulance, becoming an Occupational First Aid Attendant, holding an ‘A’ ticket, and maintaining certification for 30 + years. Eventually completing Core courses with The Justice Institute, and perusing part-time employment with The British Columbia Ambulance Services.
